How We Review
How my recommendations work
Every review on this site tells you exactly where it comes from: something I bought and used, a service I hired, or a product I've researched but haven't tried yet.
The three labels
I bought this product with my own money and used it myself. The review is based on that real use.
I hired and paid this business for work at my own home. The review describes my experience from start to finish.
I haven't used it yet. I've compared features, specifications, and owner feedback, and I'll always say so clearly.
How I test products
I use products the way you would: at home, outdoors, and in everyday situations, over time rather than for a single afternoon. I note what works, what doesn't, and any setup tips that would have saved me time. Photos in my reviews are my own whenever I've used the product.
How I review services
Service reviews are written only about businesses I've hired and paid myself. I cover the whole process, from the first contact and estimate through the work and cleanup, and how the results hold up afterward.
Keeping reviews honest
Every review includes the drawbacks along with the strengths. If I ever receive a product for free or am paid in any way for a review, I'll say so clearly at the top of that review. If a product changes, or my opinion changes after longer use, I update the review.
How this site earns money
As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases made through links on this site, at no extra cost to you. Commissions never decide what I recommend or how I label it. Prices and availability change often, so always check the current details on the seller's site. You can read more in my Affiliate Disclosure.
Your decision
My reviews reflect my own experience and research. Please use them as one part of your own decision. Before hiring any contractor, get your own quotes and verify licensing, insurance, and references.
