About Online Consumer Connect
Real experience. Honest recommendations.
I'm Ritchie Short. I've worked with technology since 1983, and I built this site to share what I've actually bought, used, and hired, and to be clear about what I haven't.
Who's behind this site
I've spent more than four decades working with technology, including 20 years as an Information Technology Specialist. That work taught me to research carefully, compare options, and look past the marketing to what actually holds up.
Online Consumer Connect is where I put that to work for everyday decisions. Whether it's something for your home, your hobbies, or your work, or a service you're thinking of hiring, I share what I've actually bought, used, and hired, and I'm clear about what I've only researched.
How every recommendation is labeled
A product I bought and used myself.
A service I hired and paid for at my own home.
Something I've researched carefully but haven't used yet. I'll always say so.
How this site is supported
As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases, at no extra cost to you. That never decides what I recommend or how I label it. You can read the details in my Affiliate Disclosure and How We Review.
My other site
I also run Technology World Unleashed, my web development company.
